Step 1 type your text put a selection around your text by holding the apple key and clicking once on your layer.

STep2 go munder the select menu and choose save selection. click ok.

Step3Deselect.

Step4 go under the channel palette(window-channels) and click on alpha 1. go under the filter menu, under blur, and choose guassian blur enter 1 px. click ok.

Step5 return to the layers palette and click once on the background layer. go under tyhe filter menu, under render, and chooslighting effects. when the dialog box appears change texture channel to alpha 1. then click ok,

Step6 go under the image menu under adjustments and choose curvs change the input to 186 and the out put to64. click ok.

Step7 go  under the select menu and choose alpha 1 from the channel pop up menu. click ok 

step8 go under the select menu, under modify and choose expand. enter 3 pixels. click ok

step9 press shift+appleJ

step10in the layers palette click once on the background layer. press apple A. press delete.

step11 deselect clicke on the text layer in your layers palette add a drop shadow click ok.

step12  add a color overlay change the bend mode to overlay click the color swatch, R= 208,G=165,B=16. click ok
